Caring Hands Sarcoidosis Foundation will host our Sarcoidosis Educational Town Hall on Sunday, October 13, 2019, 1pm to 4pm, the location is at the Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak, Administration Building Auditorium. The focus of this event will encompass our Preventative Measures

Curriculum:

  • Preventative measures to minimize the chance of hospitalization

 

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that affects women and men between the ages of 20-40 yrs. old. It causes non-cancerous granulomas that attacks any major organ of your body. Currently, there is no known cause or cure for this debilitating disease. Caring Hands Sarcoidosis Foundation serves a diverse global population of women and men diagnosed with Sarcoidosis and is diligently working to educate our members of preventing Emergency Room visits and hospital admissions while managing their lives with Sarcoidosis.

Our panelist include, but are not limited to, Girish B. Nair, M.D. Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Director, Interstitial Lung Disease Program and Dr. Koffajuah Toeque-Slyusar, Ed.D (Dr. Koffa) who was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, FSGS and Lipodystrophy and was featured on the 2019 season 5 of Botched TV, episode 511 that aired Wednesday, February 13, 2019, on E!.
